Level with the opponent
Solid ink is a week won, halftone a week lost, and the gold chip under week sixteen is the championship. The axis is not broken: week 1, a 73-point loss, is the largest margin either way in the regular season, and one win came by under five points, +0.70. Margins run across all 16 weeks, playoffs included. The rail under the week numbers carries the result: filled disc a win, hollow a loss, gold the championship week, and an ink ring the highest score in the league that week. The ring is a regular-season measure, so the playoff weeks carry none. The Alligators posted the league's highest score two times, and Washed UP no times.

Linda M. has one championship and she started the season by losing by 73 points. The Alligators went down in week one to Reggie's, then won three straight, then lost again, then spent the autumn oscillating: 9-5 in the end, third of ten on points, and nobody's pick. Jay Cutler led the roster in scoring five times and put up 97 across weeks three to six. Jamaal Charles took four more. It was a team without a single dominant name and it kept turning up.

Dave St.'s Washed UP were the better story on paper. DeMarco Murray had been worth 99 points above replacement, the most valuable man in the final, and they came out of Saturday a point in front. Then the Alligators simply went past them and kept going: ahead by 10 after one o'clock on Jordy Nelson's 17, ahead by 16 after Eli Manning's 32 in the afternoon, and out of sight when the Arizona defense scored minus three for Washed UP on Sunday night. Emmanuel Sanders added 19 on Monday to finish it at 115 to 77. Murray went home with the most valuable season in the game and a runner-up plate.

PAR against replacement, ink above the line and halftone below, thickness is raw fantasy points, and a gap is a week he did not start; benched, injured and not-yet-acquired are three stories drawn identically and the footnote says so. The newsprint band is the playoff weeks and the gold dot is the final. Replacement is the mean of every started player at that position, league-wide, that week; in playoff weeks, when only the surviving teams field a lineup, it is carried from that season's regular-season mean instead.
